The survey is open to everyone working in care-related roles, no matter your setting, role or experience. By sharing your experiences, challenges, and ideas, you’re helping shape a stronger, more supported future for the sector.

Every day, 1.7 million people across England contribute to the adult social care sector, in care homes, as personal assistants, as social workers, in supported living, and beyond. Now it’s time to make your voice count.

Working conditions, capacity, learning and development, and working relationships are some of the key challenges affecting care staff. The workforce survey gives you the chance to speak openly and share your experiences to help shape improvements.

This is the second time the survey is being conducted. The first survey took place in 2023 and the findings were published earlier this year. .

Why your input matters

  • Influence policy: The survey directly informs a government report that shapes decisions on funding, staffing, training and support.
  • Tackle key challenges: Your insight will help address recruitment, retention, capacity, and wellbeing challenges.
  • Drive real change: Your voice contributes to evidence-based decisions that improve working conditions, learning and development, and workforce sustainability.
  • Reflect the whole sector: Every role and every setting brings a unique perspective. The more people take part, the clearer the picture.

Real, lasting improvements start with the people who know the sector best – you and your colleagues.

If you’re in a leadership or commissioning role, share the workforce survey with your colleagues today and help ensure every voice is heard.
